Position Purpose / 職務の目的
Actuarial Manager is responsible for making or checking the values related to submission of Reserve Valuations, Reinsurance Settlements, and Solvency & Capital Needs Managements for Cardif Japan’s economic activities accurate and timely.
Responsibilities / 職務の責任
Direct Responsibilities
To calculate to deliver timely and accurate reserve valuations for local accounting (JGAAP), consolidated accounting (IFRS) and Prudential Closing (Solvency II / “Japan ICS”).
To perform monitoring of underwriting risks and business profitability
To support reinsurance conditions renewals and To perform cash settlements
To calculate risk amount and profitability for new business activity
To calculate customer related values (calculate renewal premium rate, check profit sharing for the partner, premium adjustment and so on).
Contributing Responsibilities
To provide timely and accurate data by
1) Making data for input of projection model to make future cash flow
2) Update and manage database of base data (cash flow and reserves) for financial closing
To support to continuous optimization of pricing rules towards company profitability and business sustainability.
Business Knowledge / 求められるビジネス知識
Fundamental insurance business knowledge in Japan
IFRS and solvency II knowledge are big plus.
Technical Experience / Competencies / 求められる技術的経験・コンピテンシー
Insurance Business Experience in Japan (Either life insurance or non-life insurance)
6+ years of Actuarial experience (valuation or pricing)
Proficient in MS Office, in particular Excel
Business communication level on English and Japanese (both written and spoken)
